She Who Rambles
First off, thanks for taking a gander in my general direction. Seeing how you’ve come to this page wanting to know more about Harbour City Rambling’s author, I guess I must share a bit about me, in hopes to not put you to sleep…
As a prairie child, first moving to British Columbia was unnerving and unfamiliar. But the Pacific ocean soon captured my heart, and I quickly adopted the easy-going West Coast mentality. I am now highly passionate about hiking and exploring the multitude of parks, trails and mountains on lower Vancouver Island.
My ever-increasing passion for travel has allowed me to slowly start seeing this vast world we live in. My desire to document my experiences stems from inheriting my mother’s short memory, and so I created this small pocket in cyberspace to do so. My near-future travel aspirations include: Hawaii (for the Lost tour), Costa Rica, hiking the Dolomites and touring Tuscany in Italy, and one day returning to Germany, the Netherlands and San Francisco.
As an avid scrapbooker, my keen eye for detail allows me to combine paper, photographs, and journaling to create stylish memories for myself, my friends, and my family. My dream for the far-off future, pre-retirement years, is to open up a scrapbook supply store and studio right in my neighbourhood of James Bay.
New to the sport of golf, I am ever trying to improve on my skills with this challenging and rewarding activity. With my clubs, and a natural swing, I intend to some day play each and every course on lower Vancouver Island.
As a minimalist, it takes very little to entertain me. Judging by some of my posts, I assume that any readers of this blog share the same mentality!
Thank you again for allowing me to entertain you with these often nonsensical ramblings, from a Harbour City, on the south tip of a gorgeous island in the Pacific.
